London-based artist and illustrator Sam Taylor has changed the way he works, launching a new series of images drawn entirely by hand with no digital aids. His lurid, psychedelic artwork is like a hangover refracted Nickelodeon cartoon, complete with mischievous demons, melting skulls and a hapless worm just trying to get through it all. However, that doesn't mean Sam rests on his laurels and relies on existing ideas. He broke his mold, using purely traditional tools for illustration, including pencils, Rotring inks and colored Promarkers. This new approach yields unexpected results and a pleasing touch.
